Nigeria issued 50.4 billion naira of Treasury bills on Wednesday and priced the six-month paper 18 basis points lower than at its previous auction, the Debt Management Office (DMO) said on Thursday.
The naira has been hitting record lows on the unofficial market since last week.
However, the DMO raised 25 billion naira in six-month notes at 12.62 percent, lower than 12.80 percent it fetched at its auction on June 24. It priced the three-month debt at 10 percent, unchanged from the last sale, to raise 25.4 billion naira.
Investors submitted bids totalling 126.23 billion naira for the notes, down from 166.3 billion naira at the June sale.
