National U-23 Eagles and the women national team, Super Falcons have been tasked to ensure that they make Nigeria proud in their different football engagements this weekend.
National teams sponsor, Globacom advised the teams to go for victories in the two qualifying matches.
While the Dream Team coached by ex-international, Samson Siasia will lock horns with Congo at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt in the first leg qualifying match for Africa U-23 Championship for the Rio 2016 Olympics on Sunday, the Super Falcons will face their opponent from Equatorial Guinea on Saturday at National Stadium, Abuja, in the first leg of the final qualifying round for the same Olympics in Rio, Brazil.

According to Globacom, “the Samson Siasia-led U-23 national team is doing the right thing by emphasizing intensive and rigorous preparation ahead of their match against Congo. We are confident that they will excel against the Congolese.
“The drafting of some of the outstanding Flying Eagles players like Taiwo Awoniyi and Musa Mohammed to the team by Coach Siasia will stand Nigeria in good stead to beat Congo comprehensively to wrap up the qualification for the Dream Team ahead of the second leg.”
On Super Falcons, the telecommunications company advised the team not to underrate the Equatorial Guinea female national team in order to avoid any embarrassment.
“Equatorial Guinea are getting stronger in Women football and would like to give Nigeria a run for its money, but we believe in the capacity of Super Falcons to triumph,” Globacom further said.
Globacom, therefore, advised the technical crew of Falcons to work towards a convincing victory in order to make the second leg coming up in Malabo in a fortnight a mere formality.
