Lagos Speaker: What Nigerians need urgently

Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has stated that Nigerians want President Muhammadu Buhari to tackle insurgency urgently but cautioned that the citizens must be patient if the president is to achieve this goal.
He urged Nigerians to be very vigilant as insecurity continues to take a major toll on some parts of the country.
The Speaker who arrived from lesser hajj on Thursday night and had his Eid-el-Fitri prayer at Oyewole Primary School, Mulero-Agege area of the state on Friday, further appealed to Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari in his quest to resolve the many challenges facing the country currently.
Obasa also said Buhari’s visits to other countries to seek for assistance and cooperation in the fight against terrorism was commendable and not out of place since the world over, countries seek collaboration to solve crises.
“We are all aware of what is happening in Ukraine, the whole world is in support as regard their challenges,” he said on Friday.
“We have similar problems in the Arab world, so there is no problem if our president is seeking the support of the world on insurgency.
“We must all support the president in this regards. Our concern should be on the way to put the crisis to an end,” Obasa said.
The Speaker also commiserated with the families of a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who was murdered by some robbers in the party office in the area.
The Speaker urged Muslims to be law abiding as citizens adding that the virtue exhibited during the Ramadan should not be discarded.
