Federal Neuro-psychiatric Hospital, Aro ranked 6th in Africa, 1st in Nigeria

The Federal Neuro-psychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, Ogun state has been ranked best hospital in Nigeria by Ranking Web of World Hospitals based in Spain.
The hospital was also ranked the sixth among the best hospitals in Africa. It also ranked the Aro public mental facility as number 2091 in the world.
The Aro hospital provides quality and innovative primary, secondary and specialised hospital and community-based mental health services, as well as training and research.
The Ranking Web of World Hospitals, an initiative of Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC) also ranked Nigeria’s Bridge Clinic and Saint Nicholas Hospital in the first 100 best hospitals in Africa, with 43rd and 94th positions respectively.
Abuja Clinics, a private medical facility in Nigeria was a as 93rd best hospital in Africa.
The Corporate Relations Manager of Abuja Clinics, Mrs Chinwe Nwam, confirmed the ranking to NAN on Tuesday in Abuja.
Nwam explained that the clinic was selected based on its track record of quality healthcare service delivery in the country in line with modern trends.
She said that the clinic was assessed based on its web/online communication, facilities and services.
The spokesperson said the clinic was providing internal medicine, surgery, paediatric and diagnostic services with state-of-the-art equipment.
“We (Abuja Clinics) provide fully automated out-patient services and have 20 consultants in various fields and about 200 workforce,” Nwam said. …Read More
