N4billion: Rivers judicial panel invites Agric commissioner under Amaechi

The Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike to probe the activities of the immediate past government led by Rotimi Amaechi has invited former Commissioner of Agriculture, Emma Chindah over the management and administration of N4billion.
Emma Chindah’s who is also the agent of All Progressives Congress, APC, during the the April 11 election, was invited through a letter endorsed by the Secretary to the Judicial Commission Of Inquiry, Mrs.Queen Goodwin.
The former Commissioner for Agriculture is to explain to the Panel on its inaugural sitting on Monday August 24, how N4billion agricultural loan was disbursed.
It is not clear if Chindah, a known loyalist of former Governor Chibuike Amaechi would honour the invitation or not.
It would be recalled that on 20 August, the Judicial Commission of Inquiry got the nod to prosecute Amaechi’s government following a judgment by a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt.
In the judgement presided over by Justice F. C. Amadi today after considering the motion from the claimant and defendant, Amadi held that former governor, Amaechi has not shown sufficient evidence that the Judicial Commission of Inquiry will impugn on his fundamental human rights. …Read More
