Senator Florence Ita-Giwa has commended Nigeria’s famous Pop singer, 2Face Idibia, for singing love songs and celebrating women with his music.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ita-Giwa poured encomiums on Idibia at a musical concert, tagged ‘2Face: Fortyfied at 40′, to mark the singer’s 40th birthday on Sunday.
Ita-Giwa said at Eko Hotel venue of the event that the artiste had uplifted and respected women in his songs, and that Nigerian women of all ages were, therefore, in love with him.
“2Face has shown love and respect towards women in his songs and Nigerian women in their teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s love him.
“We all love him; I love him for what he has done for women through his songs,” Ita-Giwa said before presenting the celebrant with a necklace and a huge cross pendant.
NAN reports that the concert began at about 10.30 p.m. with comedian, Basketmouth, as the host.

Young Dancehall artiste, Patoranking, then took the stage for some reggae tunes and cover of 2Face’s, “One Love”, before finishing with his own song, “My Woman”, which featured Wande Coal.
Comedians, Gbenga Adeyinka and Yaw, came up for some comic interlude, but Adeyinka lazily threw a joke about a blender which, he wholly, lifted from a currently running advert on radio.
Musicians, M.I. and Sound Sultan, alongside comedian, Bovi, then “roasted” 2Face, but most of the jokes were …Read More
