Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has lauded Governor Akinwumi Ambode for setting one week aside for an on-going Town Hall Meeting which serves as a necessary feedback mechanism through which government accounts directly to the people and gets the much important feedback from the governed.
The party says that Governor Ambode has shown that his government will not only be accountable but mindful of the needs of the people in various parts of the state through the Town Hall Meetings.
In a release in Lagos, signed by the Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Joe Igbokwe, the party expressed its confidence that with this proven desire to carry the people of Lagos along his policies, Governor Ambode will take governance down the very grassroots that form the base of governance.
It urged the good people of Lagos to continue to support the governor in continuing the legacy of uninterrupted development of Lagos for the good of every Nigerian.
“We salute this initiative of the governor in practicalising the engagement of the people in governance. We see the Town Hall Meeting and its commencement as a needed drive to make governance compliant with the wishes and aspirations of the Nigerian people.
