Kogi polls: Audu’ll win in Central senatorial district — campaign spokesperson

Dr. Tom Ohikere, the spokesperson for Prince Audu Abubakar Campaign Organisation has predicted that the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate will win in Kogi Central Senatorial District, contrary to the belief of many.
Some analysts had predicted that the APC candidate may not do well in the Central Senatorial District where some of the people are still not happy with the loss of the gubernatorial ticket to Audu by Yahyah Bello, a young, popular transporter and businessman who is from the area.
This, it was gathered, was because many saw the suave young man as the best chance for the Ebira ethnic stock who are in the majority in the state to rule Kogi State.
This is in fulfilment of the so-called Ebira agenda. Some APC chieftains feared that the Ebiras may out of anger massively vote for one of their own who is also in the gubernatorial contest, Chief Philip Salawu, a former deputy governor of the State, thus denying Audu the crucial for necessary to win the ballot.
But Ohikere, who is also from the Central Senatorial District, said contrary to such impression, Audu will get about 65 percent of the votes from the area.
He told our correspondent in Lokoja that the Ebira agenda should not be anchored on the ambition of one person.
He added that in the past couple of weeks his team has succeeded in convincing the Ebira that their destiny should not be tied to one person. …Read More
