Okowa says Nigeria needs Godly leaders for economic recovery

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has said that Nigeria will get speedy economic recovery when the people imbibe godly approach to addressing issues.
Okowa dropped the hint on January 1, 2016, at the 70th birthday thanksgiving service of the former Chief Judge of Delta State, Justice Rosaline Bozimo, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Ugborikoko, Uvwie local government area of the state.
“I believe Nigeria will rise again, let us spend time to pray everyday of our life, we should truly live godly life because, you cannot love God without loving your neighbour.”
“We should impact positively on those around us, we should show love to our neighbours,” Governor Okowa said, stating that Justice Bozimo “is a shining star with an infectious personality and we are excited that God is keeping her strong.”
The Governor played glowing tribute to Justice Bozimo while Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Brume in a sermon, called for respect for human rights and human dignity in Nigeria.
He also said, Mary the Mother of Jesus deserves to be honoured because of the roles she played as “Mother of God because in Christ, God became a human being for us to be saved and if Jesus Christ is God, then, Mary, is the mother of God.”
Rev. Fr. Brume lauded the distinguishing roles Justice Bozimo has played in the society and used the occasion to urge Christians to be strong and confident because, their challenges would become a thing of the past if they believe in Jesus Christ.
The Church service was attended by the wife of the Governor, Edith, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro; husband to the celebrant, a former Minister of Police Affairs, Alaowei Brodrick Bozimo and other eminent personalities from different parts of the country. …Read More
