John Terry carried off the pitch after his injury
Chelsea captain John Terry will miss the Champions League last-16 first leg at Paris St-Germain on Tuesday with a hamstring injury.
The defender, 35, has not travelled after limping out of Saturday’s 5-1 Premier League win against Newcastle.
Brazil midfielder Oscar (calf) returns to Guus Hiddink’s squad, which also includes young defenders Matt Miazga and Jake Clarke-Salter.
PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva will return after being rested.
Terry was substituted towards the end of the first half against Newcastle and was sent for a scan on Sunday.
The former England captain took part in Chelsea’s open training session on Monday, but the club later announced he had not travelled to France because of “a minor problem with his hamstring and ligament”.
Brazil forward Alexandre Pato has also stayed behind, while Serbia midfielder Nemanja Matic is banned.

PSG are expected to recall talismanic striker Ibrahimovic, skipper Silva and influential midfielder Thiago Motta after they were rested for Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Lille.
But the French champions are without Ivory Coast right-back Serge Aurier, who has been suspended by the club for making homophobic remarks about manager Laurent Blanc.
Italy midfielder Marco Verratti will not start, despite returning at the weekend from from a two-week injury lay-off.

The two teams have been drawn together in the Champions League knockout phase for the third successive season.
Chelsea moved into the 2014 semi-finals with an away-goals win, before PSG won by the same method after a thrilling last-16 tie last season.
PSG are 24 points clear at the top of Ligue 1 as they cruise towards a fourth straight title, but Blanc knows that his team will be judged by their progress in Europe’s leading club competition.
