MFM FCThe Chairman, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry (MFM) FC, Sunday Ojeieh, on Thursday said that the club hoped to replicate the pattern of Spain’s Barcelona FC in Nigeria and Africa.
Ojeieh expressed the hope in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on the club’s aspirations.
“In no distant time, MFM will be the Barcelona FC of Nigeria and Africa. This is based on the tactics, pattern and style of play we have
adopted.
“We have the same pattern with them; it is an African way playing of `tiki-taka’ the flowing type of football adopted by Barcelona of Spain.
“We want to create quality a football structure that will give Nigerians the value for every kobo spent on the club in terms of followership and support.
“We have actually written down our goal for the club’s Chairman, Proprietor and the Founder of the Church, Daniel Olukoya.
“That is what we aim to achieve by God’s grace,” he said.
On how MFM will tackle the Match Day 6 against El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri on Sunday at Agege Stadium, Ojeieh said it was a must win match for them.
“I can tell you categorically that El-Kanemi is not better than MFM FC; we have seen them play and we are conversant with their style of play, and their coach Fidelis Ilechukwu understands this.
“We are not taking the match lightly because we are working everything out to win the match against El-Kanemi in Agege.
“I am assuring you that if it is not 2-0 it will be 3-0 on Sunday,” he said
NAN reports that debutants MFM has yet to lose any home match since their campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.
They have, however, loss an away match to 3SC of Ibadan.
