Former Minister of Mines and Steel, Arch Musa Sada, has confessed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission that he collected only N700 million for former Governor of Katsina State Ibrahim Shema, during the 2015 election.

A statement by the EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren described Musa Sada as one of the former ministers in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan who are being investigated by the anti-graft agency over his involvement in the alleged N23.29bn poll bribery scandal.

Sada reportedly told EFCC investigators that he was authorised by former governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, to collect the sum of N700m (Seven Hundred Million Naira) on behalf of Katsina State and remit it to the former state’s Commissioner of Finance to keep for him (Shema).
