Human rights lawyer, Femi Falan (SAN) has described the former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, governor, Prof. Charles Soludo as a joker for demanding apology from him over the $7 billion illegal loan to 14 commercial banks by the apex bank in 2006.

Falana had called on the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, to investigate the the $7 billion the CBN granted the banks under the tenure of Soludo as it was done fraudulently.

Falana, in a statement on Wednesday said in his rather hasty reaction to his petition to the EFCC on the criminal diversion of public funds from the Federation Account and the mismanagement of the nation’s foreign reserves, Soludo accused him of peddling falsehood by saying that he removed $7 billion from the nation’s foreign reserves and doled it out to 14 commercial banks in 2006.
