The Kebbi Government has said the ongoing verification of local government staff across the state is not aimed at witch-hunting any worker.
Alhaji Abubakar Nayaya, the Chairman of the State Local Government Service Commission, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
Nayaya said the exercise was aimed at identifying genuine staff as well as entrenching probity, transparency and accountability in the local government system.
He said his commission had embarked on official visit to the 21 local government areas in the state with a view to interacting with the Directors of the councils on the matter.
