Breaking: Soldiers who manhandled disabled man arrested, demoted

The two soldiers who manhandled a physically challenged man on the street of Onitsha, Anambra State, last Tuesday have been arrested, summarily tried and found guilty.

They were later demoted in rank from Corporal to Private soldiers and sentenced to 21 days imprisonment with hard labour.

A statement signed on Friday by spokesman of the the Nigerian Army, Brig-General Sani Usman in Abuja said the soldiers will also forfeit 21 days pay to the Federal Government.
