A 35-year-old man, Kazeem Idris, on Monday pleaded with an Ilorin Area Court to dissolve his two-year-old marriage with his wife, Khadijat for allegedly threatening his life.
The plaintiff who resides at Akerebiata area of Ilorin told the court that his wife was troublesome, while the marriage, contracted in 2015, produced one child, Yusuf.
“I am always scared whenever I am coming home from work because she always cause trouble
“My lord, I want an end to this marriage because she does not allow me to rest and I don’t want to die young,” he said.
The defendant, however, asked the court for an adjournment to enable her file counter claim.
The judge, Mr AbdulQuadir Ibrahim, adjourned the case till Feb. 20, for the defendant to file her defence.
