The Nasarawa State House of Assembly on Monday screened and confirmed three out of the nine commissioner-nominees whose names were submitted by Gov.Tanko Al-Makura.
The Speaker of the House, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, made this known after three commissioner- nominees appeared for their screening in Lafia.
The nominees screened and confirmed were, Prof.Jonathan Yakubu, Jamil-Zakari and Tanko Zubairu from Akwanga, Awe and Doma Local Government Areas of the state.
Balarabe-Abdullahi urged the confirmed commissioners to use their experiences to add value to the development of the state.
He also urged them to be prudent and accountable in the management of the state’s resources to bring speedy development to the state.
The speaker reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to continue to enact laws that had a direct bearing on the lives of the people of the state.
