A former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has criticized the continued detention and secret trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB) Nnamdi Kanu and demanded his immediate and unconditional release.
Soludo who made this demand in Abuja said the nation is drifting to a failed state having been in the ‘Red Alert’ position in the global failed state index, adding that Nigeria has never been more divided than now.
Daily Trust reports that Soludo spoke at the end of a meeting of some Igbo leaders under the auspices of ‘Nzuko Umunna’ condemned the planned secret trial of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB) Nnamdi Kanu and demanded his immediate and unconditional release.
