The Caring Family Enhancement Initiative’ (CAFÉ), a pet project of Anambra Governor’s wife, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, has empowered no fewer than 2,500 women since its inception in 2014.
Obiano made this known on Friday when she visited Achalla, Amanuke, Urum, Mgbakwu and Isuanaocha communities in Awka North Local Government area of the state.
She urged the women to take advantage of CAFÉ programmes, which, according to her, provides succour and empowerment to indigent women and widows.
She said that the programmes included tailoring and fashion designing, soap making, baking and confectionery, hair dressing and beauty therapy as well as interior decoration, among others.
