Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has given a profound illustration of the cost of corruption in Nigeria, saying that the $9.2 million seized from a former boss of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC could build 774 health centres.
The money, found in a bungalow in Sabon Tasha in Kaduna by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, could also fund all the requirements of the centres for a whole year, he said.
Alhaji Mohammed gave the illustration in a statement urging Nigerians not to be discouraged about recent court verdicts on corruption cases.
