Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic matriculates 5,795 students – Rector

Prof. Shehu Dalhatu,  the Rector of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, on Thursday said  only 5,795 students matriculated out of 17,125  admitted for the 2016/2017 academic session.

He made the disclosure at the matriculation of students for 2016/2017 academic session held at the main campus of the institute in Zaria, Kaduna State.

“A total of 26,325 applications were received from prospective candidates and 17,125 were given admission into the institution but only 5,795 registered and matriculated,” he said.

Dalhatu noted with satisfaction that the institution had steadily grown since its inception, saying the staff strength had also increased from 260 to 1,056 as at Jan. 31, 2017.
