The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) is to establish two additional Area Commands in Zamfara to improve security in the state.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police(DIG) in charge of Logistics and Supply, Maigari Dikko, disclosed this while addressing police officers and men at the Police Command headquarters, Gusau, on Thursday.
The DIG’s visit to the state was part of his tour of police formations in the North-West.
Dikko said the decision to establish new command offices across the country was to improve the security situation.
He said that his tour of the zone was part of the execution of the core mandate of the present leadership of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF).
