Major General Leo Irabor has been removed as the Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, the army group leading the onslaught against Boko Haram in the North East of Nigeria.
He has been replaced by Major General I Attahiru.
The Nigerian Army in a statement released on Wednesday by its spokesman, Brigadier-General Sani Usman, said new commanders and staff officers have been appointed for some formations and units across the country.
Usman said in a bid to re-strategize, the Nigerian Army has posted 147 officers into Operation Lafiya Dole, some divisions, formations and training schools.
He said in a posting released by the Office of the Military Secretary (Army), last week, Major General RO Yusuf, Commander, Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps, is now the Commander Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Minna.
