Varsity workers fry bean cakes (Akara) to celebrate VC’s suspension


The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) may be making history as first varsity workers in the country to hold elaborate party following the suspension of their embattled Vice chancellor, Prof. Olusola Oyewole.

The Federal Government last week suspended the Vice chancellor over series of petitions bothering on alleged maladministration and financial malpractices.

Daily Trust reports that as at 11.00am the open grounds available have been occupied by both the Non-Academic union, the senior civil workers’ arm of the university and the association of technologists ready to throw the elaborate party separately.

It was gathered that the reception party was jointly organized by the Joint Action Congress (JAC).
