The total number of workers under the employ of the Lagos State Government has hit 100,433, State Head of Service, HOS, Olabowale Ademola disclosed on Tuesday.

Ademola, who spoke at a ministerial press conference in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria also disclosed that the state government had employed about 5,000 new workers in the last one year.

She also said the government had instituted the policy of rewarding officers identified to have consistently met or exceeded agreed set targets and exhibited exceptional work ethics, diligence, innovation and creativity in the discharge of their duties.
