Prof. Olutayo Adesina, President, Society of Nigerian Archivists (SNA), has expressed the readiness of the society to assist the Nigeria Police improve its archives for enhanced documentation of criminal records.
Adesina made the statement on Friday in Abuja in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He stressed the need for the three tiers of government to pay attention to the development of archives, saying archives are relevant as sources of information for the past, present and future.
He said: “Archives are not about old papers and other documents that are only relevant about the past; they are also relevant for the present and future.
