A mudslide occurred at Magodo Area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Friday night, killing a little girl and injuring another, PM News reports.
The incident, it was gathered happened at 21 Idohofia Street, Magodo around 7:07pm.
It was learnt that the little girl, Tara was playing with her friend, Khadijat outside when the mudslide hits the area.
A top Lagos State Emergency Management, LASEMA source who craved anonymity told PM News that while the Tara died, Khadijat sustained injuries and was rushed to an unknown hospital for treatment.
Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe confirmed the incident, saying that casualty was recorded.
According to him, “A mudslide incident occurred at 21 Idohofia Street, Magodo with casualty.”
Last year, a mudslide occurred at Agidingbi area of Lagos with two people killed in the tragedy.
