FSARS smash Indian hemp ring, recover bags worth N4.1million

Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS at Adeniji Adele in Lagos have swooped on an Indian Hemp distribution depot at Iperu Remo area of Ogun State and arrested nine suspected dealers.

Their leader, identified simply as Lukman a.k.a ‘Ijalo’ managed to escape.

The operation was led by DSP Olaniyi Festus in charge of Strike Unit 1 at the FSARS, Lagos.

Police identified the arrested suspects as Oluwasegun Babatunde 39, a resident of Onigbogbo, Maryland; Odeku Ogundipe, Abiodun Oluwole, Samson Haruna all from Iperu Remo and Ogere in Ogun State and Abdulahhi Abubakar from Niger State.

Others include Ibrahim Saheed, Abayomi Babatunde, Sarafa Ogunjimi all from Iperu Remo and Ogere, Ogun State and Nasiru Bashiru from Kano State.
