The Oba of Ikorodu in Lagos State, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, on Saturday urged the youth to support democracy with participation and peaceful conduct in elections.
The royal father made the appeal after voting in the local government elections in Lagos State.
Shotobi cast his vote in Ward B in Ikorodu Central LCDA.
He said that youths would be leaders in the future and should participate actively in elections.
Shotobi described the council elections as free and fair.
The royal father hailed the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) for efforts in conducting the polls.
He also hailed the state Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode for the laudable achievement in the last two years, particularly with community development.
Shotobi also thanked Ambode for outlawing land grabbing.
