Security Challenges: Ambode advocates community policing, technology application

L:R Former Inspector General of Police, Mr Musiliu Smith, Lagos Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Adebule, Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, Chairman Lagos House Committee on Security, Mr Babatunde Braimoh, Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu and the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar during the 2017 Inspector General of Police Public Lecture on Security held at the Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island Lagos on Friday.

In order to free the citizenry from the present security challenges facing the nation, there is the need for both appropriate application of technology on intelligence gathering and effective community policing that will strengthen the bond between relevant security agencies and members of the public.
