The All Progressives Congress in Lagos State has invited the party’s national legal adviser, Muiz Banire to face public trial over complaints filed against him by two members of the party.
The summon was issued by a ward in Mushin local government of Lagos State, asking Banire to face its disciplinary committee.
Ward C, Alafia/Adeoyo in Ilasamaja in the letter dated 10 July and circulated Thursday 10 August, asked Banire to meet its committee at the Mushin Sports Centre on 14 August, a move analysts predict may lead to his suspension or expulsion from the party.
The party is making a big show of its interrogation and trial, in the choice of venue and invitation to “interested members of the public, members of the press, domestic and international observers/monitors”. The guests are expected to be seated by 9.45 a.m on…
