Security Guards Bolt With Employer’s N150,000 Tiles

Three security guards, who allegedly stole their employer’s tiles valued at N150,000, were on Monday brought before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.

The accused — Abiola Adesokan, 35; Romanus Onigar,35; and Paul Odingbe,28 — who reside in Isheri, Akute and Ojodu-Berger areas of Lagos, are being tried for conspiracy and stealing.

The trio, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Godwin Awase, told the court that the accused committed the offences on July 30 in Ikeja.

He alleged that the accused conspired and stole 36 pieces of tiles valued at N150,000, belonging to their employer, Adron Homes and Property Ltd.

“The accused, who were security guards of the company, stole their employer’s N150,000 tiles.”
