The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, on Wednesday said the Command had put adequate security measures in place to cover some 344 Muslim praying grounds identified in the state during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Owoseni, assuring Lagos residents of plans to ensure a hitch-free festival, however urged members of the public to celebrate modestly and not provoke any form of violence in the state.
“The Eid-el-Kabir is two days away. The command, while wishing Muslim faithful happy celebration, states that every operational plan is in place, including identification of Muslim praying grounds in Lagos, which are about 344.
