No fewer than 30 buildings were damaged by heavy rain at the Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta on Tuesday afternoon.
The rain damaged major buildings in the School.
Speaking with newsmen on the incident, the Deputy Provost of the College, Dr Rafiu Soyele said the damage was enormous.
His words: “As at yesterday we were in the office around 2:30pm, when the rain came but we thought it was going to be a small thing and the normal rain but surprisingly it started from my office”.
“I noticed flood in my office and I asked some staff to clean it up and just as they were doing that, I started receiving calls from different quarters reporting the devastating effect the rain has had on their files and sections”.
