Why Lagos cultural values must be preserved – Indigenes

Lagos Indigenes have advocated the need to preserve the cultural heritage and values of State, saying that all hands must be on deck for this to be done for the benefits of the future generation.

The indigenes, under the aegis of Idungaran Club of Lagos in a statement on Thursday as it planned to mark its 40th anniversary, said the culture of Lagos is sacrosanct and that it must be preserved for the future generation.

The statement issued by the Chairman, Planning Committee, Alhaji Rasaki Dawuda said elder statesman, Alhaji Lateef Okunu had been selected to deliver a lecture on “What can be done to Promote and Preserve our Cultural Values,” at the grand finale of the anniversary scheduled for November 5, 2017, so that the cultural heritage of the state would be preserved.
