N13bn Ikoyi recovery: Whistleblower to be paid this month – Adeosun

Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun has said that the whistleblower who led to the recovery of the N13 billion stacked in Ikoyi apartment will be paid this month.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had claimed that the whistleblower had been paid, but the whistleblower had through his lawyer denied the fact.

Reacting to the dust being generated by the incident, a statement issued by Oluyinka Akintunde, Special Adviser to the Minister of Finance, said the attention of the minister had been drawn to media reports surrounding the payment to a whistleblower, who provided the tips that led to the recovery of funds stashed away in a property in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
