Oyo lawmakers pass vote of no confidence on commissioner for education

Oyo State House of Assembly Thursday showed their displeasure towards the state Commissioner for Education, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela over the handling of the state’s school feeding programme, an initiative of the Federal Government.

The Commissioner, who was summoned by the state assembly over various allegations and complaints by food vendors including ill-treatment, nonpayment of their allowances, received a vote of no confidence from the lawmakers.

According to the food vendors, the failure of the state government to do the needful has forced them to stay at home without serving the kids for the past two weeks.
