Court sentences Femi Adesina’s impostor to 8 years imprisonment

Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity

A fraudster who impersonated the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, and attempted to fleece a Bayero University don of N300, 000 for a non-existent appointment in the Presidency has been convicted.

Christian Oyovweyho was on Tuesday convicted and sentenced to eight years imprisonment by Justice Z.B. Abubakar of the Federal High Court, Kano.

The convict was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  on a 2-count charge that borders on conspiracy and attempt to obtain, in contravention of  sections 8(a) and (b) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006.
