A community leader at Isheri Olofin in Alimosho area of Lagos, Shamsideen Adebimpe, 67, has been arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court for allegedly threatening to burn down the Palace of Oni Isheri of Isheri Kingdom, Oba Wahab Balogun and publishing false news against him.
The police also alleged that the accused mobilized hoodlums to sing inciting songs and rained abuses on Oba Balogun around his palace with intent to cause breach of peace in the Isheri Olofin Kingdom.
The arrest of the accused was ordered by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG in charge of Zone 2 Command, Lagos following a complaint by Oba Balogun.
Shamsideen was charged before an Igbosere Magistrate Court on a six-count charge bordering on publication of false story in newspapers, inciting hoodlums with intent to cause breach of peace and threatening to burn down…
