UTME 2018: Candidates task JAMB on timeliness

Some 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates in Benin, Edo on Saturday, called on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to be time conscious.

One of the candidates, Endurance Abang, said that the examination which was scheduled for 7.00 a.m. could not commence until 8.a.m.

Abang said that some of the candidates travelled early to their various centres without food only to start waiting for JAMB officials.

He said not starting the examination, according to the time schedule, could have a negative impact on some candidates sitting for it.

Abang urged JAMB to make mock examination compulsory for all the candidates that enrolled for the examination, to enable them familiarise with computers, servers and other backup equipment used for the examination.
