The Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, has given assurance that the police will do everything possible to provide the much-needed security to Nigerians.
He gave the assurance on Tuesday during the inauguration of a Mobile Police Squadron in Takum, Taraba.
Idris stressed that the police, in collaboration with other sister security agencies, were more determined, better equipped and trained to detect as well as diligently prevent crimes.
The police boss further urged Nigerians to be conscious of security issues in their communities and report any suspicious activity.
According to him, the timely report of such threats is necessary to enable security personnel to forestall the activities of criminals in the society.
