The Inspector-General of Police Suleiman Abba has been sacked by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Abba, whose sack was with immediate effect is to be replaced with Deputy Inspector General Solomon Arase.
President Jonathan’s special adviser on media and publicity, Reuben Abati tweeted Abba’s sack Tuesday afternoon.
