Bauchi State Governor, Mallam Isa Yuguda, has sacked over 2, 000 of his political aides but retained very few on essential services.
The sacking, which was contained in a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs, Government House, Hashimu Yakubu, on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government, stated that the sacking of all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Personal Assistants was with immediate effect.
Although, the number of aides sacked was not disclosed in the government statement, it was, however, learnt from a government source that they might well be over 2, 000.
