The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Osun said 33 persons had died in road accidents in the state in April.
Muhammad Hussaini, the Sector Commander, disclosed this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo on Thursday.
According to Hussaini, 26 crashes occurred in the state within the period under review, and that 231 persons were involved, while 123 persons were injured.
He blamed most of the incidents to speeding, poor condition of the roads and failure by motorists to comply with road traffic rules and regulations.
