The immediate past Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Sa’ad Tahir, was attacked at the inauguration of Senator Bindowo Jibrilla as the new governor of the state.
Tahir, who represented the out-gone Governor, Mr James Ngillari, at Jibrilla’s inauguration, was attacked by some youths at the event.
Irate youths at the ceremony, held at Mahmud Ribadu Square in Yola, the state capital, also manhandled and damaged the car of a serving Senator, Bello Tukur, who was rescued by security operatives.
He was whisked out of the venue.
