The 8th House of Representatives takes off on Tuesday, with Bauchi state-born Hon. Yakubu Dongara and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila from Lagos State getting nominated as the only candidates to run for the position of House of Reps Speaker.
Dongara was nominated by Hon. Abdulmuminu Jibrin from Kano State, while Dr Muhammed Sani Abdul from Bauchi nominated Gbajabiamila for the speaker position. Shuiabu Sule from Edo state seconded Gbajabiamila’s nomination.
Both nominees accepted their nominations.
