The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has stated that he emerged Speaker by divine intervention.
Dogara emerged House Speaker, Tuesday, in a keenly contested election defeating former House minority leader, Femi Gbajabiamila (APC Lagos).
Speaking during a Thanksgiving service at Living Faith Church Goshen City, Karu Nasarawa State, on Sunday, Dogara said the teachings he has been receiving in Living Faith Church in the last 27 years, contributed to his victory.
