A former governor of Ebonyi State, Martin Elechi, has been quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged corruption.
Elechi reportedly arrived at the commission’s office in Abuja at 10 a.m. on Tuesday following an invitation sent by the EFCC two weeks ago.
An EFCC source told our correspondent that while Elechi could not honour the EFCC’s invitation, his lawyer wrote informing the anti-graft agency that his client was not available at the time he was expected but would appear today for questioning.
