Ghana dancehall act, Stonebwoy has denied reports that he turned down an offer to become a brand ambassador for telecom company, Glo in Ghana.
The singer was previously reported to have turned down an $80,000 endorsement deal from the telco firm because his management believed he deserved better.
Speaking on Neat FM’s Entertainment Ghana, the BET Award winner said the company contacted his management to sign him as one of the company’s new brand ambassadors but they haven’t arrived at any agreement yet and rejection does not arise.
‘I don’t know where that amount and the news are coming from but as far as I am concerned I have not rejected any deal and I have not accepted any.
‘In contracts like that I don’t think money should be the only thing we should concentrate on because even GH¢1 is money. It is the understanding and longevity that is most important. There was a contact from Glo to my management which I got to know about but the said amount is not true. We are approaching it systematically. There was an approach by Glo but I don’t know about any $80,000.’
