South Africa based filmmaker, Akin Omotoso ready with new movie, ‘Tell me something sweet’

    Nigeria-born South African filmmaker, Akin Omotoso is ready for the premiere of his new movie, Tell me something sweet billed for September this year.
    The award winning actor and director, who acted in Hollywood movies like Blood Diamond and Lord of War, started shooting the romantic comedy in 2014 with a cast of top South African actors including Thomas Gumede, Maps Maponyane, Nomzamo Mbata and many others.
    A graduate of University of Cape Town born in Ibadan back in 1974, Akin comes from a reputable literary family. His father, Kole Omotoso is a respected Nigerian writer while he has a younger sister, Yetunde Omotoso, whose novel was nominated for the maiden Etisalat Prize for Literature.
    His other movies include End Game, Man On Ground and a documentary on Nigeria’s Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka titled Wole Soyinka: Child of the Forest. The movie will be released on September 4, 2015.
